PSTC Outdoor Tennis Guidelines (5/25/2020)
EVERYONE using the courts and tennis facilities MUST adhere to these guidelines.
General
- Please wear PPE when entering and exiting the Club.
- Members and coaches may choose to wear PPE during play.
- We will endeavor to make hand sanitizer available, but it may not always be available due to recent shortages.
- You are encouraged to bring your own hand sanitizer and to use it before and after each playing session.
- Bring your own water bottle and do not share it.
- Please sanitize equipment, including racquets and water bottles.
- No sharing of equipment is permitted.
- Avoid touching court gates, fences, benches, etc. if you can.
- Avoid touching your face and to keep at least 6 feet away from any other person while playing or waiting for a court.
- If you need to sneeze or cough, do so into a tissue or upper sleeve.
Court Booking
- Players must reserve a court for use in the PSTC outdoor court reservation tool.
- Email deb@4startennis.com to request a booking account (PSTC members only).
- The member booking the court must be present during the booked court time and is responsible for the condition of the court after usage.
- Be prompt about leaving the court when your time is up whether there is someone waiting for the court or not.
- No more than 4 persons will be permitted on a court at one time unless taking a group lesson.
- No walk-in play will be permitted.
Clinics
- Only take a minimal amount to the court and space your items 6 feet away from items of others.
- Players are permitted, but not required, to pick up balls.
- All payments and tracking of Live Ball are done on-line.
Summer Camps
Private Lessons
- Courts 4-6 will be reserved for lessons & clinics.
- Lessons must be paid for electronically, no cash or checks.
- Lessons may be paid for online: MAKE PAYMENT
- Pros will book the court time for all lessons.
- Pros will use only use designated teaching cart & balls.
- Ball tubes and baskets are permitted to pick up loose balls during instruction.

Unavailable
- Demo Racquets will not be available for use.
- Ball Machines will not be available for use.
- Water fountains/coolers will not be available for use.
- Lounge will remain closed.
- Food will not be permitted.
- Showers will not be available.
Facility
- Activity will always be in line with the Federal Government’s advised social distancing measures (defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
- Toilets will be available but recommend using toilets at home before coming to the tennis facility.
- SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION are being accepted.
Preparing to Play
- Before going to the court, wash your hands with a disinfectant soap and water (for 20 seconds or longer) or use a hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available.
- Clean and wipe down your equipment, including racquets and water bottles.
- Do not share racquets or any other equipment such as wristbands, grips, hats and towels.
- Bring a full water bottle to avoid touching a tap or water fountain handle.
- Arrive as close as possible to when you need to be there, no more than 10 minutes in advance.
- Members will not be able to purchase cans of balls at PSTC.
When Playing
- Try to stay at least six feet apart from other players. Do not make physical contact with them (such as shaking hands or a high five).
- If you do play doubles, avoid all incidental contact, NO Bryan Brothers Chest Bumps and NO whispering to each other from a close distance to strategize.
- Members will not be allowed to use pro lesson balls for casual play.
- If a ball from another court comes to you, send it back with a kick or with your racquet.
- Remain apart from other players when taking a break.
- Avoid touching your face after handling a ball, racquet or other equipment. Wash your hands promptly if you have touched your eyes, nose or mouth.
- Avoid sharing food, drinks, or towels.
After Playing
- Leave the court as quickly as reasonably possible after you’re done playing.
- Wash your hands thoroughly or use a hand sanitizer after coming off the court.
- Do not use the locker room or changing area. Shower at home.
- No extra-curricular or social activity should take place. No congregation after playing.
- All players should leave the facility immediately after play.
Do not enter the facility if any of the following apply to you.
- Do not feel well.
- Exhibit or experience symptoms of COVID-19.
- Received a positive test result for COVID-19 and have not completed a full 14-day quarantine.
- Had contact with someone who has received a positive test result for COVID-19 or is otherwise believed to be infected with COVID-19 and have not completed a full 14-day quarantine.
- Traveled to a high-risk area for COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
